Chelsea are prepared to spend €75 million to sign midfielder Eduardo Camavinga next year, according to Spanish outlet Defensa Central.
The west London giants currently have Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez as their preferred midfield duo. Andrey Santos and Romeo Lavia have provided good competition off the bench when required.
This has not stopped the speculation over more midfield signings and reports claim that the Blues are lining up a swoop for Camavinga.
The Frenchman has been a key player for Madrid over recent campaigns, but the Blues are prepared to test their resolve in the coming year.
A January proposal seems unlikely on the cards, but they could make a summer approach with an offer of around €75m for his services.
Camavinga started the campaign with an ankle injury. Since his return, he has made two starts from eight appearances for Los Blancos.
He is no longer a guaranteed starter under new manager Xabi Alonso, and this could urge him to move on from the Madrid giants in future.
