Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a fresh injury update on William Saliba and Leandro Trossard ahead of the Premier League clash against Aston Villa on the road tomorrow.
The Gunners returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Brentford on Wednesday night. Saliba and Trossard have not been involved for two games running, but the duo are still uncertain.
Speaking in today's presser, Arteta said that it is a 'matter of days' before the duo return to action, thereby hinting that Saturday's early kick-off against Unai Emery's side could come too soon for them.
On top of this, the Gunners have suffered another defensive injury blow with Cristhian Mosquera ruled out for weeks with an ankle concern.
Jurrien Timber is likely to partner Piero Hincapie in central defence against Villans with Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori in the full-back roles.
Arsenal have the opportunity to go eight points clear at the top of the table, at least temporarily, if they manage to beat the Villans on the road.
