Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta congratulated Manchester United following their 3-2 win over the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium.
The league leaders went into the game as huge favourites to secure three points and got into the lead thanks to a Lisandro Martinez own goal.
However, a defensive mishap from Martin Zubimendi allowed Bryan Mbeumo to equalise before Patrick Dorgu made it 2-1.
Dorgu's fine strike came out of the blue. Arsenal managed to pull level late on through Mikel Merino, but Matheus Cunha had the last laugh.
Cunha scored with a ferocious strike from outside the box to make it 3-2.
Speaking after the game, Arteta congratulated the Red Devils for the win saying: "First of all you have to congratulate Manchester United for the victory. It happened in a really strange way."
Arsenal looked on course to push for the winner at 2-2, but the Red Devils struck back soon after through Cunha's goal to put the game to bed.
With the result, the Gunners have just a four-point lead over Manchester City and Aston Vila at the top of the standings after 23 matches played.
