Liverpool wants Milner

Rafa Benitez wants to strengthen his squad to fight for the Premier League and is eyeing on Newcastle's James Milner.

    Benitez is reportedly interested in signing Newcastle United's attacking midfielder, James Milner. Liverpool are ready to shell upto £10M for the England international.



    The Spanish boss is also interested in Espanyol's Alber Riera who might also cost in the region of £10M. Riera is currently un-settled at his club, although Liverpool doesn't have enough money to spend on two players.



    Benitez is set to sell Crouch, Xabi Alonso and Riise, all big money transfer. Alonso is currently in talks with Juventus and a move is possible in a few days. They will use this money to spend on other players.



    David Bently, valued at £15M is over-priced for Benitez, though the player might join his former boss Hughes in Manchestery City.
