Chelsea have revived their interest in landing Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Blues were eager to land the Gunners graduate last summer, but Nwaneri ended up penning a new long-term deal with Mikel Arteta's side.
The 19-year-old struggled for regular playing time in the first half of last season, and he was eventually loaned out to Marseille in January.
Nwaneri had a good start with the French outfit, but the Englishman hardly started after Roberto De Zerbi was dismissed as the head coach.
The teenager is presently training with the England national side at the World Cup as a reserve, but he is expected to return pretty soon.
Chelsea are prepared to make a fresh move for the versatile attacker, but a transfer won't come on the cheap. Arsenal may demand at least £50m.
The Gunners would receive pure profit from Nwaneri's sale in their financial books, and could be tempted to discuss a deal for that amount.
