England international John Stones has snubbed interest from Chelsea and Arsenal to join Inter Milan on a free transfer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The 32-year-old was a free agent after his release from Manchester City last month, and it was suggested that he could move to the English capital with either Chelsea or Arsenal.
However, the centre-back has chosen to move abroad with the Nerazzurri. He has agreed a two-year contract with the Serie A champions and will join them before the end of the week.
The news is a potential blow for the Gunners in particular, given they had earmarked him as a possible replacement for William Saliba, who is currently on the sidelines with a back injury.
Stones was regarded as a genuine option for the Gunners due to his free agent status, but he has now decided to prolong his career abroad with the Nerazzurri instead of joining Man City's direct rival.
