Former Manchester United star Ashley Young has heaped praise on Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard following the 2-1 Premier League win over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The Gunners continued their 100 percent start to the campaign by beating the Blues in their backyard. Odegaard was once again adjudged the man of the match after scoring the crucial second-half winner.
The Gunners captain has started the season in blistering fashion, and speaking on Sky Sports, Young said that Odegaard is a joy to watch and his connection with Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz is so good to see.
Young said: "When you've got a player like Martin Odegaard on the team, he's just a joy to watch. He's exciting when he gets on the ball, he's allowing other players to get on the ball, and the connection down the right side between him, Saka and Havertz, it's just good to see."
Odegaard had a difficult 2025/26 season with the Gunners due to multiple injuries. He finished the campaign with one goal and nine assists.
The Norwegian ace has been quite exceptional in the current season and has already scored three goals in his four appearances thus far.
He looks back to his best after his injury woes last term.
