At around 1:30am last night, the Portuguese manager reportedly sent a text message to players to inform them of his departure. The shock departure has rocked Chelsea as the search for a successor begins.
The five senior players who were reportedly texted were Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, John Terry, Petr Cech and Ricardo Carvalho and the message simply told the players he was leaving.
