Zenit wait on Arshavin

06 July 2008 - 01:15

Zenit St Petersburg are waiting on the decision of talented Russian international midfielder Andrei Arshavin. The club are willing to let the player leave, but will first give the player some time to rest before giving the player the opportunity to leave the club.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • "We can't keep hold of the player if someone offers good money, in the region of 25 or 30million euros," said Advocaat.

"Andrei won't play until things are all cleared up. It's a joint decision. Better put, I told him he shouldn't play and he agreed.

"I understand it perfectly, as he's been playing here for seven years. The wish of a player who is still young to go and shine at a foreign club is very understandable.”
