Arsenal's summer signing from Cardiff City, Aaron Ramsey, is already eyeing a first-team spot and hopes to take some part in the Gunners' opening Premiership game against West Bromwich Albion on the 16th of August.

  • "Obviously the plan for me is to have a good pre-season and try my hardest to get up to the fitness levels the Premiership requires," said Ramsey in the South Wales Echo.



    "I will try my best to get in the starting line-up at the beginning of the season against West Brom.



    "I am joining one of the biggest clubs in the world, one which always gives young players an opportunity at the highest level.



    "I am going to work my hardest to be part of future successes there."
