Ronaldo operation successful

Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo has successfully completed his ankle operation on Monday morning at a hospital in the Dutch city of Amsterdam.

  • Ronaldo injured his ankle in the last two months of last season and needed a surgery to stop the pain. He was on a short holiday to Italy and flew to Amsterdam last night.



    Speaking to the Associated Press, hospital spokesperson Johan Kortenray said, "The surgery went well and he is expected to go home tomorrow."



    The 23-year old Portuguese international midfielder though is expected to miss all footballing action for the next six weeks at least.
