Messi to Inter Milan?

09 July 2008 - 18:28

Inter Milan right back Javier Zanetti has said that FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi shall leave the Camp Nou cathedral one day and play for the Italian giants Inter Milan.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Messi has developed into one of the world’s best players in the world at Barca but there has always been rumours that the 20-year old Argentine would play for Inter Milan sooner or later.

Inter Milan veteran Javier Zanetti now declares that such rumours are indeed true:

"I speak very often with Messi," said Zanetti. "He is now unlikely to leave FC Barcelona, but in the future, if he does leave, he is sure to come to us.

"If there is just a tiny hope, Massimo Moratti (Inter president) will be at the forefront to bring him here."
