Barca B coach calls for calm

FC Barcelona B coach Luis Enrique Martinez has called for calm at the club in the aftermath of the the club president Joan Laporta suffering a popularity crisis at Camp Nou.

  • Laporta barely suffered vote of no confidence at Barca this Sunday and this has sent shockwaves across Catalunya.



    There are people who would have wanted Laporta to boot out. Newly installed Barca B coach Luis Enrique has called for calm at the club.



    The former Spanish international and Barcelona midfielder said:



    "We know how difficult it is to be involved with this club. We need calm because within two years there will be elections. I would like the climate to be different, calmer, and easier to work in.



    "The atmosphere is not the best when the tension grows."
