Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has been in quite a good and agreeable mood as he bid farewell to Peter Crouch.
The England international striker was signed by Liverpool from Southampton and has been sold to Portsmouth. He has passed a farewell and the paperwork shall be done soon.
Speaking on the departing Crouch, Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez said:
"We offered him a new deal but he wanted to play more.
"He did well here after people doubted us signing him."
