Poyet sets Bent challenge

Poyet sets Bent challenge

29 July 2008 - 21:34

Gus Poyet has called on Tottenham striker Darren Bent to prove he can live up to his expectations and take the place of Robbie Keane; who left for Liverpool earlier in the week.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • He said: "Darren Bent has been fantastic throughout pre-season. He's trained really hard and he's probably been the pick of the strikers so far and this time he showed what he's all about.

"He was one of the strikers last season, he didn't have too many chances because Robbie and Berba were on fire. Now he has taken the chance so maybe we will see Darren Bent every week."
