Walcott: I scare defenders!

Theo Walcott is looking forward to more playing time under Fabio Capello for England, after getting a run out against Andorra at the weekend. Theo now is looking forward to the Wednesday game with Croatia, insisting he can scare any defender in the world.

  • The boss gave me the opportunity and it was brilliant," he said.



    "The manager wanted me to get at the left-back from the start. He said 'show what you can do, and they will be scared of you throughout the whole game'.



    "That's what I did and I know what I have to do. Just get at the left-back as quickly as possible and take my chances.



    "I got battered a bit but I always get battered. I'm used to it now - it doesn't bother me at all.



    "The confidence is there now. I've started every game bar one this season for Arsenal and I feel I've got so much confidence. I'm training well and when you are training well your confidence flows.



    "I feel great. I'm buzzing at the moment. I'm flying. I just can't wait for Wednesday."
