Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has all but ruled out goalkeeper Ben Foster leaving the club this January. It is understood that Tottenham wanted to bring the player in on loan.

Foster is one of th ebest young England goalkeeping prospects, and United want to hang on to their man.



"There is absolutely no chance of Ben Foster or Tomasz Kuszczak going out on loan," said Ferguson.



"We have Tom Heaton on loan at Cardiff at the moment and that is plenty."
