Aston Villa's transfer deadline-day signing Togo international Moustapha Salifou has received a work permit and will now link up with Martin O'Neill's side.
Villa boss Martin O'Neill said: "I've been told by his agent that he should be here in the next day or so.
"We will have to have a look and see what sort of shape he is in."
The player had been training in the meantime with his previous club FC Wil in Switzerland.
