Avram scouting for staff

26 September 2007 - 14:39

Chelsea manager Avram Grant has revealed that he is searching for backroom staff and hopes to have his team in place within 3 weeks. Grant already has Mourinho's ex-assistant Steve Clarke working alongside him, but is expected to bring in coaches after Mourinho's staff left at the same time.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Avram added, "Everything happened so quickly but we are looking for staff that will be good for Chelsea.

"We are still looking but I think in two or three weeks, you will see the arrival of the new staff.

"The previous staff did a very good job here but they decided to go with Jose. I understand them.

"I want to do it as quickly as possible but we want quality and will take our time.

"We are looking in England and abroad. We need a fitness and a goalkeeping coach. We are using people from the academy at the moment and they are doing a very good job."
