Hamburg and Holland defender Joris Mathijsen has signed a new deal with the German club, that will keep him at the club until at least 2011.
He told the club's official website: "I am very glad about the new contract. HSV is a great club and I am proud to be able to play for them.
"I feel very much at home here in Hamburg and it is my goal to help Hamburg win a title in the future."
