Roman will back Chelsea spend

Despite rumours that Chelsea will not be active in the January transfer window, there have been reports that Roman Abramovich has told Luiz Felipe Scolari he will back a move for any 'big player' when the window reopens.

It is understood that Chelsea are on the look out for another striker to add to their squad, whilst many feel another defender would be a welcome addition to the Stamford Bridge squad.



Scolari is believed to have up to 20 million GBP to spend on new players available should he wish to adjust his squad.
