Stoke chasing Harewood

Stoke City are apparently interested in signing Marlon Harewood from Aston Villa in the January transfer window. As yet, nothing has been confirmed by Martin O'Neill, but the player is expected to leave.

Harewood has fallen down the pecking order at Villa as the likes of Ashley Young and John Carew continue to impress.



Aston Villa are also likely to make a move for a top striker in the January transfer window.



It is understood that chairman Randy Lerner has made up to 15m GBP of funds available for a striker.
