Newcastle have apparently made a loan offer for Arsenal's bench warming Mexico international forward Carlos Vela. Arsene Wenger is reportedly ready to allow the player a six month period away at another club.

Carlos Vela came off the bench at the weekend in the 0-0 draw against West Ham at the Emirates after an injury to Emmanuel Eboue.



The Mexican impressed, and Wenger knows that the imminent signing of Andrei Arshavin will see Carlos Vela's opportunities even more limited.



A six month loan to Newcastle would be a good move for the club and player.
