There have been rumours that Arsenal have made a last minute January transfer deadline offer for Portsmouth's talented Croatian international midfielder Niko Kranjcar.

If the deal for Andrei Arshavin collapses, the Gunners believe they have the perfect replacement if they land Kranjcar.



It is understood that Portsmouth were reluctant to sell Kranjcar, but the reported 9 million GBP offer on the table for the player would be too good for Tony Adams' men to reject.
