Barcelona defensive midfielder Rafael Marquez has been linked with a shock move to the Premiership with Arsenal. It is understood that Arsene Wenger is keen to bring in one or two players, and has identified the Mexican as one of his main targets this summer.
Barcelona and Arsenal have always had ties to each other in the transfer market, with Marc Overmars and Alexander Hleb in recent years making the switch between the two clubs.
Now it seems that Arsenal are ready to test Pep Guardiola's sides resolve and mount a switch for the talented Mexican.
