Sofiane Feghouli

Sofiane Feghouli

24 May 2009 - 07:48

Grenoble midfielder Sofiane Feghouli is seen by many in France as the long term answer to Zinedine Zidane, and despite interest of some of the biggest clubs in Europe, Feghouli has insisted he will stay at Grenoble.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez are known admirers of the 18 year old, but have as yet failed in their efforts to land the Frenchman.

A determined young attacking midfielder, with remarkable technique, Sofiane Feghouli is already being valued in the region of £10 million by those who have seen his performances in the dark blue of Grenoble in Ligue 1 this year.

The Frenchman has so far pledged his allegiance to France at international football, but has admitted to have a soft spot for his homeland Algeria.

Feghouli needs time to nurture and grow, and time to work on the more important aspects of his game such as passing, but then he has the chance to prove he could well be the future of French football.
