Real Madrid have signed AC Milan's Kaka for a world record fee of £62m. The former world player of the year snubbed Chelsea and his former boss Carlo Ancelotti before making him move to the Spanish capital.
Real Madrid's new boss, Manuel Pellegrini, has jumped into action by signing Brazilian playmaker, Kaka,in no less than two days after his appointment as the coach. The Los Blancos president Florentino Perez and his good relationship with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani helped Real Madrid in signing Kaka whom they had pursued for many years.
Kaka had earlier stated that he wanted to stay in Milan, but, the offer from the Spanish giants was too good to turn down. The 27-year old is negotiating deal believed to be worth £160,000-a-week.
The £62m is a new transfer record fee, the earlier being £47m paid by Perez for Zinedine Zidane from Juventus in 2001.
