Mascherano could quit Liverpool

Mauricio Pellegrino, the Liverpool coach, has admitted that Argentina international midfielder Javier Mascherano may be ready to quit Liverpool this summer.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are both monitoring the midfielder very closely, and a fee of up to £23 million has been suggested for the star.



“Every time negotiations are under way money always makes the decision,” Pellegrino said.



“[Mascherano is] such an important player for us [but] in football, nothing is impossible.”
