Toure signs for Man City

Toure signs for Man City

30 July 2009 - 06:53

Kolo Toure has ended his love affair with Arsenal after making a move north to join Man City on a four year contract for a fee believed to be in the region of about £16 million. Now City are turning their attentions to other defenders, such as Joleon Lescott.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The Gunners defender had spent 7 years at the club, and many Arsenal fans will be sad to see the 28 year old go.

But the £16 million received represents great value for Arsenal, who paid only £250k for the Ivory Coast international from ASEC back in 2002.

Kolo links up with his former Arsenal team mate Emmanuel Adebayor at the club, and will earn a reported £120,000 per week.
