Miguel wants Valencia stay

Portugal international right back Miguel, 29, has declared he intends to stay at the club for another season. The Valencia player had been linked with an exit with several Premiership clubs linked with a move for the player.

  • “I spoke with the manager and conveyed to him that I thought it was best for me to have a change of scenery,” he explained. “But over time it hasn’t happened because the offers were not interesting and my way of thinking has changed. Now I want to work to show I want to be here.



    “I don’t close the door on a transfer because it doesn’t just depend on me and you don’t know what will happen tomorrow, but now I intend to work hard every day to make myself the coach’s first choice for next season.



    “I am happy. This is my fifth season here and it is always a pleasure to wear the Valencia shirt.”
