Chelsea midfielder Florian Malouda has admitted that he is struggling to adapt to the Premiership. Malouda looked the part on his first game for the club in the Charity Shield, however, has since yet to impress as much as predicted.
Malouda said, âThe only aspect of adapting I am having difficulties with is in the style of English football,â Malouda told Don Balon. âItâs been difficult for me to change leagues since the game over here has nothing to do with what I played in France.
âThe main difference is that there is a lot more expectation around football and the pressure is that much more intense.
âAnd when you are attacking everyone gets involved, whereas in France all of the players pass more in a more rigid system.â
