Wigan boss Roberto Martinez may make an offer for Peterborough and Scotland international winger George Boyd this summer. The player has just enjoyed a successful campaign with Posh that ended in promotion to the Championship.

Boyd has been in excellent form over the last five months, bagging several goals and many assists from the left hand side for Peterborough.



As Martinez has declared he will stay at Athletic for another season, he has started to prepare his transfer moves with a reported £15 million transfer budget; and Boyd may be the first at £2.75 million.
