Ronaldo rejects Man City offer

Ronaldo rejects Man City offer

03 July 2011 - 05:15

Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted that an offer from Manchester City was available, but as fellow countryman Jose Mourinho will stay at Real Madrid; Ronaldo rejected the Man City approach.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • According to reports, Man City offered £100m for the Portugual international.

Ronaldo said of the approach: "It’s flattering to be offered like £20m a year - it’s very good, but I spoke to my agent and I think it’s better to stay in Madrid because this year we’re going to be the best. This season we are going to be a big force. Jose Mourhino is staying at Madrid so I stay. If he went to Chelsea then I would have left. I would have gone to Manchester City. But now he’s staying, I’m staying.”
