Sunderland are edging closer to a double move for Wes Brown and John O'Shea. The Manchester United defensive duo have told Alex Ferguson that they would be interested in making a move to the Stadium of Light.
Steve Bruce has admitted to the press that he is desperate to bring in the defensive pairing, who have spent the majority of last season on the bench at Old Trafford.
"Yes, it looks good, we are very close, Wes is travelling up for talks and we hope to also speak with O'Shea. I would say we are inches away," said Bruce.
