Modric requests Tottenham transfer

Croatian international midfielder Luka Modric has handed in a transfer request as he looks for a move away from White Hart Lane. The Tottenham midfielder has been linked with a 30m GBP move to Chelsea.

There were some quotes in the press this morning in the UK: "Luka didn't want to ask for a transfer but he has been left with no choice."

It is understood that Chelsea are not willing to improve their 30m GBP initial offer, with Tottenham looking for closer to 40m GBP.
