Liverpool star priced out of exit

Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani has been priced out of a summer transfer move back to Italy. The player enjoyed a loan spell at Juventus last year, but was unable to agree a permanent deal.

Roma have now been linked with a move for their former employee, but have failed to agree terms with Liverpool.

Reports indicate that Aquilani's monster 100,000 GBP per week salary has put off any potential suitors.

The midfielder is still expected to be playing elsewhere before the end of the transfer window.
