Everton line up Samba move?

Everton have been discussing possible replacements for Phil Jagielka, should the England international centre back leave Goodison Park for Arsenal. David Moyes has identified Christopher Samba of Blackburn as the best replacement for Jagielka.

Arsenal have been chasing Phil Jagielka all summer, and have found initial bids of 10m GBP and 13m GBP rejected. Everton are looking for closer to 16m GBP to let their star defender leave the club.

With that in mind, Arsenal are eventually expected to settle on a fee for Jagielka, and Everton have turned their attentions to Blackburn's colossal central defender, Christopher Samba. Everton would pay around 9m GBP for his services.
