Sunderland enter Peter Crouch race

Sunderland are the latest team to be linked with a move for Peter Crouch. The Tottenham striker has been told that he can leave White Hart Lane if a club offers 7m GBP.

Steve Bruce is on the look out for another striker to add to his squad; and is turning to the England international.

Stoke City were believed to be in pole position to land the former Portsmouth and Liverpool man, but it seems Sunderland are the preferred option for Crouch himself.

A deal that will see Crouch leave Tottenham is expected to be complete by Wednesday.
