Chelsea locked in talks for Alvaro Pereira

Chelsea are still hoping to do business for full back Alvaro Pereira before the transfer window slams shut, and have made a final offer of 17m GBP for the defender.

Alejandro Savich, Alvaro Pereira's agent revealed: "I know that the clubs are talking. This is a positive sign. What I know from Chelsea is that they are trying. One can only hope."

Chelsea are hoping to bring in one more player before the transfer window closes; and have set their sights on finding a new full back as Jose Bosingwa is reportedly not in the long term plans of Andre Villas-boas.
