Tottenham reject massive Modric offer

Tottenham have rejected a massive 40m GBP offer from Chelsea for Croatian international Luka Modric. The Blues had been linked with Modric all summer; but he has been told he will stay at White Hart Lane this year.

"£40m was apparently offered yesterday," says Redknapp. "It was a big offer turned down for sure. I am delighted the little man is still here."

Modric had been disappointed to learn that his move to Chelsea fell through, and actually requested to be left out of the Tottenham game against Man City as he felt mentally unready to play for the Lilywhites.
