Bassong's QPR move falls through

Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong will stay at White Hart Lane after his move to Queens Park Rangers fell through at the last minute.

QPR had an offer of 5m GBP accepted from Tottenham for the French centre back.

"Bassong is off," Redknapp revealed.

"I felt sorry for QPR boss Neil Warnock but when we couldn't get [Gary] Cahill we had to pull the plug."
