Cahill hopes for Tottenham move in January

Gary Cahill admits that his future probably lies away from the Reebok Stadium, and will pursue a move to Tottenham when the transfer window opens again.

Chelsea are also a club interested in Cahill.

The England international defender has ambitions of playing at the very highest level.

Cahill said: “As a professional footballer in general you want to strive and be the best you can and try to get to the highest level you can.

“Playing European football would be fantastic but as it is at the minute I’m not doing that so all I can do is put my performances in for Bolton Wanderers.”
