Hamburg want Hiddink as coach

Hamburg director of football Frank Arnesen wants Guus Hiddink to take charge of the struggling German club. Michael Oenning found himself fired after a disappointing start to the year.

But Frank Arnesen wants a quick replacement and solution, and has apparently made Guus Hiddink his top priority.

Hiddink had been on Chelsea's list of targets once Carlo Ancelotti left the club this summer, but a deal failed to materialise and Hiddink insisted that he wanted to stay as Turkey's coach.

However, Hamburg are ready to make Hiddink the highest paid manager in the Bundesliga.
