Barcelona eye Pep Guardiola stay

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has admitted the club will do everything in its power to keep current manager Pep Guardiola in the role for as long as possible.

Since Guardiola took charge in 2008, he has so far rejected the chance to sign a long term contract at the club, instead choosing to sign a deal on a year by year basis.

President Sandro Rosell admits that causes him some concern occasionally. Barcelona have been enjoying one of the most successful periods in their history under Guardiola.

"Guardiola is the man we want, and we greatly appreciate him. He is by far the best coach the club has ever seen and is also a culé. We'll do all we can so he can't say no to staying longer," said Rosell.
