Martin O'Neill courted by Sunderland?

Sunderland chairman Ellis Short is reportedly running out of patience with Steve Bruce, and is already lining up a move for former Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill.

Sunderland have endured a difficult start to the new Premier League season, and these disappointing performances have increased pressure on Bruce.

O'Neill has been out of work for sometime but had recently told friends he is looking forward to returning to football soon.

Sunderland have reportedly decided that O'Neill is the perfect replacement for Steve Bruce, should the club decide to remove him from his job.
