Mancini: Man City need to be more boring

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini wants to see his side adopt more of an "Italian approach" to football should they be successful in their hunt for the Premier League title. Currently, the Citizens sit in first place five points clear, but Mancini warned his side that they must be better prepared defensively if they are to succeed.

When quizzed about Chelsea's record breaking goal scoring season, Mancini seemed to suggest that he was not interested in breaking that record.

“That’s impossible,” Mancini said. “Records are there so that one team can beat them, but this one is impossible.

“We have good players. I hope we can continue to score but sometimes I hope we can do a 1-0. Sometimes, we need to win the Italian way.”

So far this season, City have already scored 36 goals in 10 Premier League games, but occasionally seem rocky in defence.
