Podolski delighted to hear of Arsenal link

Germany international striker Lukas Podolski appeared happy to have been linked with a transfer switch to Arsenal. This week, the Gunners reportedly made an enquiry to FC Koln regarding Podolski.

"Arsenal are a top club. They have a good team and play right at the top level in England," said Podolski, when asked about Arsenal's interest.


Podolski wants to leave Cologne as he started to show frustration due to lack of development and progress in the Bundesliga so far this year.


Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund continue to dominate the German league, and Podolski wants his side to challenge for honours.
