Everton considering move for Yohan Tavares

Everton manager David Moyes is tracking Yohan Tavares, the 23 year old French centre back currently playing in Portugal for Beira-Mar. The Toffees are considering a 1m GBP swoop for the player as defensive backup.

There is a clause in Tavares' contract that would allow him to leave at a reduced price should a large team from another country make an offer for the defender.


VfB Stuttgart and Hamburg have also both been tracking the 6 foot 3 centre back. Tavares said of a potential move: "I'm calm and will wait for news in the coming weeks."
