van der Wiel to complete Valencia move

Dutch defender Gregory van der Wiel expects to complete a move to Valencia next month, after admitting that he has already agreed terms with the Spanish side regarding personal terms.

Last week, Danny Blind, the technical director at van der Wiel's current club Ajax, revealed that no such transfer would be completed as terms have yet to be agreed. But the defender is certain he will be a Valencia player by January: "The clubs are still negotiating, but I expect them to reach an agreement. I have already spoken with Valencia and have agreed terms. If everything goes according to plan, I will sign a five-year deal."
