Chelsea agree Gary Cahill fee

Chelsea have agreed a £7.5m fee with Bolton for the signing of England centre back Gary Cahill. The defender is expected in London next week to thrash out personal terms.

Tottenham and Arsenal were long expected to be the player's preferred destination, but the defender's proposed moves to both clubs collapsed.


Andre Villas-Boas' the Chelsea boss admitted only past week that a move for Cahill would be likely.


The centre back will put pen to paper on a whopping £100,000 per week contract.
